In 2020, the hip-hop community had to adjust to a new normal as a result of the pandemic. With concerts no longer taking place and studio visits at a minimum due to social distancing, both rappers and producers are finding new ways to get in their creative bag. Rémy Martin, the legendary cognac, had a solution for all those talented beatmakers putting in work at home during the quarantine.
The premium spirit brand launched the House Beats Challenge to inspire music producers to keep the creativity flowing at home amid the quarantine and social distancing. Supported by lauded producers Murda Beatz, Jermaine Dupri, Zaytoven and Trakgirl, Rémy Martin called on aspiring producers to create a beat using sounds from home.
